2012 Optimist International Essay Contest.
 Please remember the following:

 I. - PRIZES
 Regional 1st Place Prize: "Medallion"
 Essay Published by Oak Park and Royal oak Township Optimist Club
 Winner will be asked to read essay at upcoming Optimist events.
 Winner will be granted honorary "Youth Optimist Member" and asked to  
 participate as a youth consultant on various projects.

 District 1st Place Prize:
 $2500 College Scholarship
 Plaque of Recognition

 International 1st Place Prize:
 Plaque of Recognition
 Essay is submitted for international publication in The Optimist Magazine.

 II. - RESOURCES
 A member of the Optimist Club of Oak Park and Royal Oak Township will  
 happily come out to your school to help facilitate discussion on the  
 essay topic.  We would also like to introduce you to other annual  
 leadership and recognition activities that we sponsor such as our  
 yearly Oratorical Contest.

 III. - DEADLINE - February 7th
 Though the contest date is fast approaching, please remember that  
 clearly handwritten submissions are accepted.

 Additionally, please feel free to e-mail or call once you have your  
 submissions prepared. I will come by to pick them up.
